Rodriguez responds to the recent comments made by Polish welterweight Rafal Jackiewicz in the following BoxingScene.com posting - https://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=26837

I can’t wait to get you back into the ring.  I am glad that your ears are ok and you have been hearing what everyone else has been saying for months: I beat you in Poland and was robbed.  All this time you haven’t come out and said one thing about the fight until now, so I assumed you knew you lost too.  I am surprised to now hear that you think you won.  Teddy Atlas (ESPN) said I was robbed against you because it is accurate, your win over me was a gift.  I clearly won our fight in Poland.

For people who haven’t seen the fight (fight can be seen on YouTube), let me give you a breakdown of the punch stat numbers, hopefully it will refresh your mind on what happened that night, because I heard you were sent to the hospital following the fight because they thought you might have a concussion.  I threw 1025 punches to your 351, out landing you 141 to 108, including 94-60 in power punches.  I threw more jabs alone then you did total punches.  Even the writers in your country (Poland) didn’t believe you won the fight.  My manager spoke with almost all of the media following the fight and they all stated I got robbed, but you wouldn’t have known that since you were taken to the hospital, while I didn’t even have a mark on my face.  At least you have recovered enough from the fight that you can now hear the outcry.

I am glad you acknowledge and admit that you were unconscious in the 6th round.  Everyone, including you, know that you were knocked out.  It’s a shame that I knew, you knew and everyone else knew you were knocked out, but the referee couldn't figure it out, and let the fight go on, which enabled you to get a bogus decision.

However, although you are delusional as to the outcome of the fight, there was one thing in your article I was so glad to read: that you said you’d make me your first voluntary defense if you win the IBF belt.  Nothing would make me more happy then to fight you again and show the world what a joke the first decision was, because just like the first fight I am going to hurt you, but this time I am going to finish the job and knock you completely out and not leave the scoring to the judges.
