All fighters made weight for the March 30 edition of DiBella Entertainment’s long-running “Broadway Boxing” series, taking place at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in New York City.

Headlining the show is a Bronx vs. Queens middleweight rivalry, as unbeaten Boogie Down prospect Chris Galeano (10-0, 1KO) takes on Devaun Lee in a scheduled 10-round bout.

Galeano tipped the scales at 158 lbs. for his first fight of 2016 following a terrific five-win campaign the year prior. Lee (6-2, 3KOs) weighed in at 157.8 lbs.

Both boxers enter the bout on the heels of career-best wins over previously unbeaten opposition. Galeano capped a stellar 2015 campaign with a landslide decision win over Shane Cameron (10-0 record at the time) last November in Brooklyn. Lee played this very venue earlier this year, pulling off  a minor upset in a six-round majority decision win over Ian Green, who was 8-0 heading into their bout this past January.

Adding to the borough rivalry, the main event will come with Galeano’s New York State middleweight title at stake.

Also on the show is resurgent super featherweight Tevin Farmer, who faces former 130 lb. titlist Gamaliel Diaz in a scheduled 10-round co-feature attraction.

Farmer came in right at the 130 lb. divisional limit, while Diaz was slightly lighter at 129.6 lbs.

It’s been a difficult climb back towards contender status for Farmer (20-4-1, 5KOs) – though more so out of the ring. The 25-year old southpaw from Philadelphia has no problem handling his business once a fight is secured and the opening bell sounds.

Getting willing opposition to climb in the ring with him has been another matter, however. It’s the price to pay when you show signs of improvement after muddying up your record with early career losses. Stumbling out to a 7-4-1 start, Farmer has claimed 13 straight wins since an 8th round stoppage loss to Jose Pedraza, which came in Oct. ’12 when both were young prospects.

Pedraza has since become a super featherweight titlist, while Farmer has suddenly emerged as the most unwanted man in the division. His last fight came in August, scoring an 8th round knockout of Daulis Prescott.

A near-eight month inactive period comes to an end thanks to Diaz (39-13-3, 18KOs) showing enough courage to accept the assignment. The 35-year old from Mexico has fallen on hard times as of late, all coming on the heels of a stunning upset win over Takahiro Ao in Oct. ’12 to win the super featherweight title.

Diaz is 1-4-1 since that night, having lost his belt to Takashi Miura in his first title defense. He has also faced Dante Jardon, Anthony Crolla (now a lightweight titlist), Petr Petrov (2014 Boxcino Lightweight tournament winner) and Emiliano Marsili – who next faces unbeaten Dejan Zlaticanin for a vacant lightweight title – all within his last six fights.

The full show will be streamed live on Go Fight Live.
