STEVEN LEWIS will be back in the ring later this year.

The undefeated Scouser will come up against Jeff Saunders on November 11.

Lewis, 14-0 (8 KOs), was most recently in the ring back in July when he snapped an eight-month hiatus with a stoppage victory against Zaurs Sadihovs.

And this will count as another away day for Lewis as the showdown with the undefeated Saunders (11-0, 6 KOs), scheduled for eight rounds, will take place at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle.

The fight will be screened exclusively live on BoxNation and BT Sport and will form part of the undercard to Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions’ ‘No Ifs, No Buts’ card topped by the rematch between Liam Smith and Liam Williams in an official eliminator for the right to face Miguel Cotto for the WBO super-welterweight title.

Also on the card is a domestic dust-up at super-bantamweight as former Jazza Dickens conqueror Tommy Ward defends his British crown against Sean Davis.

Meanwhile, Guisborough’s Josh Leather will defend his IBF European super-lightweight title against Glenn Foot in an all-North East clash, Ricky Hatton-trained Nathan Gorman will vie for the vacant English heavyweight title against Nick Webb.

Mark Heffron boxes on the card and there is action for local prospects Troy Williamson, Kalam Leather and Joe Maphosa, while Michael Watson of Sedgefield makes his professional debut.
