Highly touted former amateur standout Keith Thurman continues to flourish in the pro ranks, registering his fourth knockout in as many fights after his win over Carlos Pena this past Saturday in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Thurman, a 2008 USA Olympic Trials Silver Medalist, crumbled Pena with a brutal straight right at the 1:38 mark of the opening round, upping his record to 4-0 (4KO). All four knockouts have come in the very first round for the rapidly rising junior middleweight newcomer, who now fights under the Starfight Productions promotional banner.

So far, the Florida-based promotional outfit is very pleased with its investment. Aaron Jacobs and Shea Bailey of Starfight Productions commented after Saturday’s win, "We’ve never seen anyone in my life at that weight that can crush someone with one punch the way Keith can.”

Also included among his team are trainer Ben Getty, and two-time Trainer of the Year Dan Birmingham serving as his advisor.

Thurman is next scheduled to fight on May 9 at the A La Carte Event Pavilion in Tampa.
