“We are back to Trujillo Alto, where we  presented a successfull show in September, 2012, but now we have prospects Bomba Gonzalez and Felix Verdejo in the principal roles and we expected a big support of the fans there”, PRBBP President Ivan Rivera said. “This will be the first Solo Boxeo Tecate show this year in Puerto Rico, where we are going to bring to the fans some good fights”.

the main event, the WBO Youth flyweight champion Bomba Gonzalez (11-0, 10 KOs) will fight against Joseph Rios (13-7-2, 4 KOs) in a 10 rounds and 113 pounds bout. In his last fight, Gonzalez, ranked #14 by the WBO in the flyweights, ended in a “no decision” result against Omar Salado on February 2, when in the first round Gonzalez hit Salado with an unintentional right hook on the back of his head, and the Mexican couldn’t continue the fight. Rios is an experienced boxer who never had been knocked out.

“I’m in a very good condition to show everyone what I can do. If Rios said that this will be a war, I’m ready to show my skills in the ring”, Gonzalez said.

Rios said that “I’m here to bring a great show to the fans. This will be a war”.

“I’m very happy to fight again in Puerto Rico. I work hard every day to be in the best shape and this Saturday you are going to see another great fight”, Verdejo said.
