World champion Koki Kameda has announced that he will defend his bantamweight title of the World Boxing Association (WBA) against Mexico's David de la Mora on August 31 at the Nippon Budokan Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Kameda, 24, made the announcement at the Kameda family Gymnasium.

"I will knock De la Mora out," said the Japanese fighter who has 25 wins as a professional with one loss and 16 wins by knockout.

De la Mora, 23, is undefeated in 23 professional bouts, and 16 of those wins came by knockout. In his most recent bout, Koki dealt a eleven round beating to Nicaragua's Daniel Diaz a couple of months back in Osaka.
