Boubacar Sylla, who worked as a sparring partner with Amir Khan, is backing the Bolton boxer to end the career of Kell Brook.

The two British rivals will collide on Saturday night at the Manchester Arena, in a battle where the loser is sure to be facing retirement.

Khan was training in the United States for the upcoming clash, with new head coach Brian 'Bomac' McIntyre, who is best known as the head trainer for WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford.

Sylla was very impressed the in-ring abilities of Khan when they sparred in camp.

"He's incredibly fast, I had my guard up here and he just sneaked that right hand in there," said Sylla on Behind The Ropes.

"He's fast, probably the fastest I've been in there with, strong jab man, and he has power. I used to watch him on YouTube like 'damn I want to be in there with him, I want to get to where he's at' but now it's here, we're on the same team now. It was a great experience being in the ring with him. A real world champion, Olympic medallist, it was an honor."

Khan and Brook have been feuding for several years.

The fight was in serious negotiations back in 2019, but Khan decided to go in another direction and took a fight with Crawford, who stopped the British boxer in six rounds. Crawford would also stop Brook, in four rounds, in 2020.

Sylla expects Khan to do a lot of damage when he steps in the ring with Brook.

"Amir is about to kick his ass. Kell Brook, get ready for your retirement, because this is it," Sylla said.
