25-year-old Jessie Magdaleno (24-0, 17KOs) won his first world title last month when he won an unanimous decision over former four-division world champion Nonito Donaire (37-4) at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. The fight was featured on the Manny Pacquiao-Jessie Vargas undercard.

There was a lot of pre-fight smack talk and Magdaleno backed up his words by defeating the future Hall of Famer 118-110 and 116-112 twice.

Most observers felt the fight was close and Donaire said afterwards that he would like a rematch and insists that things will be different the second time around.

Magdaleno hasn't liked some of the post fight comments made by Donaire and feels that the Filipino should earn his way back to a rematch instead of trying to talk his way into one.

"I would like Donaire to get some more fights in and make his way back up. He's been all over Twitter and Instagram saying he gave me an opportunity but he didn't give me no opportunity. I worked hard for it. I was the mandatory fighter for that belt since the beginning of the year and he didn't want to give me the fight. He actually ducked me twice. Maybe later on down the road that fight can happen but for now I want to see what else is out there for me. I want to see whatever other big names at 122 are there for me," Magdaleno told BoxingScene.com.
