Thousands of Arthur Abraham fans are expected to flock into Monaco on October 2. That is when King Arthur faces Carl Froch in Showtime´s Super Six World Boxing Classic third-round match in the famous Chapiteau de Fontvieille. Abraham can count on two huge fan groups: His gigantic German fan-base plus his Armenian home support.

“There will be a lot of fans travelling to Monaco – from Germany, from Armenia, from France, from everywhere,” King Arthur said. “I have chartered plans to fly them all in from Armenia and Berlin. Even in training camp here at the Baltic Sea (Zinnowitz) my fans have been asking me about tickets. They will drive down all the way from the this coast to the other coast to watch the clash.”

France boasts one of the biggest Armenian communities as up to 700,000 Armenians are estimated to be living in the land of Napoleon. When Abraham fights in Germany, he regularly draws market shares of more than 40 percent on public TV. A capacity crowd of 14,000 fans cheered him to his KO victory over Jermain Taylor in Berlin in October. When he fought Andre Dirrell in Detroit, there were close to 1,000 Armenian fans in attendance, meaning Monaco will not be as neutral as Carl Froch had hoped.

“My Armenian countrymen are all over the world and they are very passionate about boxing. They will lift me to victory in Monaco.”

Tickets are reported to go on sale next week.
