Former WBC middleweight champion Sebastian Zbik is now, according to Hamburger Abendblatt, taking legal action against Universum to get the purse from the April 13th fight against then WBA champ Felix Sturm. Sturm Box Promotion paid a total of 250,000 EUR for Zbik´s services and Waldemar Kluch, who heads Universum, admitted to the German media that Zbik hadn´t been paid and that his purse had spent on paying other debts.

Zbik got the first payment of 5,000 EUR from Universum on October 12 and when Sebastian asked when the rest would come he says he only got more excuses and has thus taken legal action.

Zbik´s move is risky as it could lead to bankruptcy for Universum - and how much money he will get then is an open question.

Universum and Kluch is also involved in a litigation with former owner Klaus Peter Kohl.
