Some reliable sources from the Petchyindee Boxing Promotions, the original promoters of WBC Flyweight champ Phongsaklek Wonjongkam, reported to a well-known Thai boxing website that the WBC mandatory's challange of the Thai world champ will be postponed.

Dr. Don Jose Sulaiman, who is the WBC president, initiated an overseas telephone to Asian boxing Council president, Pol Gen Kovid Bhakdibhumi on June 21 and said this fight should be postponed because the champion and challenger teams could not accept the financial terms of both fighters. And the schedule on July 30 is too close for purse bid offer. Therefore the WBC came to an agreement for another voluntary defense for Thai champion before he takes the mandatory fight with WBC No.1 contender Jorge Arce, in the near future.

Also the champion's team tried to contact WBC No. 3 contender Diasuke Naito, who is the current Japanese Flyweight champ and holds the record for getting stopped in the shortest amount of time in a World Flyweight title bout. In a previous bout, Phongsaklek stopped Naito in only 34 seconds of the opening round.
