Newly created Elite Boxing Promotion, which has recently been formed out of previously existing promotional company with the same name and of National Boxing Promotion, ruled by Vadim Bukhkalov, will load up a huge, telling boxing card on August 28 at the Square of Independence (“Maydan Nezalezhnosti”) in Kiev, Ukraine.

In the main event of the night, former long-time WBA bantamweight champion Wladimir Sidorenko (21-2, 7 KOs) will come back to the ring for the first time since his back-to-back losses to Anselmo Moreno in 2008 and 2009. Sidorenko, now 34, is coming down in weight and is going to challenge Tanzanian veteran Mbwana Matumla (19-4, 11 KOs), 35, for what is billed as “a vacant WBC International super flyweight title” (which indeed is held by Sylvester Lopez from Philippines at the present time).

A total number of seven bouts are scheduled. Prospects Victor Postol (10-0, 7 KOs), Dmitry Kucher (9-0, 8 KOs), Timur Akhundov (11-2, 4 KOs) and heavyweight Nikolay Israelyan (5-0, 4 KOs) will be featured in the undercard.
