The IBF has put the finishing touches on a planned middleweight tournament to name a mandatory challenger to their current champion. Former IBF middleweight champ Sebastian Sylvester will take on Sam Soliman in one eliminator, and former 154-pound champ Roman Karmazin will face Osumanu Adama in the second eliminator. The winners of both eliminators will face each other, and the overall winner becomes the mandatory challenger for champion Daniel Geale. Soliman was first set to fight Benjamin Simon but that is apparently history by now. Sylvester vs Soliman will go ahead sometime during the early fall.
