Errol Spence Jr., 21-0 (18 KOs), was quick to call out world titleholder Kell Brook 36-0 (25 KOs) following his knockout performance against Leonard Bundu, 33-2-2 (12 KOs) in an IBF world title eliminator.

Spence controlled the fight and dropped Bundu down twice in the sixth. The second knockdown, caused by an uppercut that was followed by a right hand, put Bundu down and out cold. No count needed with the referee waving off the contest.

‘’He can drop out of the Golovkin fight and face me next or vacate and let me fight for the title,’’ said Spence.

In a surprise move, earlier this summer, Brook announced he would move up in weight to challenge middleweight champion, Gennady ‘’GGG’’ Golovkin on September 10, leaving the status of the IBF welterweight title in limbo.

One thing is for certain, Spence is ready for his first title shot and as we wait for the result of Brook versus Golovkin, other options are available for Spence within the Premier Boxing Champions stable of welterweight fighters. Adrien Broner, Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter, or Keith Thurman are among the names that standout as possible opponents for Spence in the future.
