Sources have advised BoxingScene.com that junior middleweight titlist Serhiy Dzinziruk (37-1, 23 KOs) has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled Sept. 30 rematch with Lukas Konecny with an undisclosed injury.

The fight was to be Dzinziruk's first bout since his lopsided knockout defeat to middleweight champion Sergio Martinez in March. The title defense was a rematch of their controversial bout from April 2008.

Dzinziruk won a majority decision over Konecny by scores of 118-110, 115-113 and 114-114. That match was in Dzinziruk's hometown of Germany, while the rematch was to be in Konecny's backyard, Czech Republic.
