According to Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, a couple of more boxers have been added to the December 9th card at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

The HBO televised card is headlined by a WBC interim-super featherweight title fight between Orlando Salido and Miguel Roman. The winner of that fight will be in line for full WBC champion Miguel Berchelt. Another title fight is on the card when Tevin Farmer and Kenichi Ogawa collide for the vacant IBF super featherweight world title, and former WBC super featherweight champion Francisco Vargas will take on British contender Stephen Smith.

"Besides the announced HBO triple-header with Orlando Salido and Mikey Roman as the main event, Farmer-Ogawa and Francisco Vargas-Stephen Smith, all fan-friendly fights, we're going to have to additional televised fights with Denis Shafikov, who's trained by Abel Sanchez, and also Jaimie Munguia, who's with Zanfer (Promotions). It will make it a great evening and weekend for fight fans,'' said Tom Loeffler, who is the promoter of record for this card.

The two fights featuring Shafikov and Munguia fights "will be on HBO Latino. So the triple-header will be first then they'll show the HBO Latino fights on a delayed basis," according to Loeffler.

Shafikov(38-3-1, 20 KO's) is coming off a tough loss to IBF lightweight champion, Robert Easter, and is now contemplating a move down to super featherweight. The hard-hitting Munguia (25-0, 21 KO's) is just 21 years old and fights as a junior middleweight.

The card will have stiff competition that night, as Top Rank is staging a very anticipated card on ESPN. Headlining that show is the long awaited dream fight, between world champions and two-time Olympic gold medal winners Vasyl Lomachenko and Guillermo Rigondeaux. The Cuban stylist is moving up by two weight divisions (eight pounds) to challenge Lomachenko for his WBO world title.
