The mystery has been resolved regarding the next opponent for unbeaten 122 lb. titlist Scott Quigg, who will face Namibia's Paulus Ambunda in a September 13 title defense at Phones 4U Arena in Manchester, England.

Quigg (28-0-2, 21KOs) makes the third defense of the alphabet strap he formally acquired a year ago, with all three defenses now coming at the Phones 4U Arena.

Ambunda (21-1, 10KOs), a former bantamweight belt holder who moved up in weight earlier this year, fights outside of Namibia for just the second time in his career. The previous road trip ended his brief title reign, dropping a 12-round decision to Tomoki Kameda in the Philippines last August.

The evening's chief support pits Anthony Crolla in a 12-round lightweight bout with former 130 lb. titlist Gamaliel Diaz.

“We are excited to be back in Manchester in September for another big night,” said promoter Eddie Hearn in an press statement. “Scott and Anthony are becoming regular fixtures at the arena with great support and both are in major fights on September 13. Scott is in scintillating form and ready to stamp his authority on the division – while Anthony has another tough fight against former World Champ Diaz who mixed with the likes of Robert Guerrero, Jorge Linares and Humberto Soto before travelling to Japan to win the WBC title.˝

The show will air live on Sky Sports in the UK.
