WBC silver junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez held an open workout to promote Saturday's defense against IBO welterweight champion Lovemore Ndou, which takes place at Estadio Beto Avila in Veracruz, Mexico. Nearly two thousand fans caused a frenzy when Canelo began working out. It was "Canelo Fever" in Veracruz.

Canelo finished his final day of sparring. Under the guide of trainer José "Chepo" Reynoso, Canelo is simply going to polish up the offensive strategy and mobility for the fight.

Canelo is scheduled to visit Centro Escolar Lazaro Cardenas, if the weather permits, to present a message of support to the children in Veracruz to redouble their efforts to eradicate childhood obesity.
