Promising light heavyweight prospect Rudy "The Revelation" Puga Jr. (2-0, 2 KOs) of Salinas has signed with Top Rank, according to a report by Ryan Wallace of the Salinas Californian.

Puga, a decorated amateur and former member of Team USA, will receive compensation every month for the first two years of the contract in addition to a signing bonus he has already been given, according to his father and trainer, Rudy Sr.

The contract also guarantees a minimum of six bouts per year.  However, with Top Rank's headquarters in Las Vegas and propensity to hold shows outside of California, local fans might have to venture outside the state to watch Puga fight.  "The Revelation" was able to appear in front of his hometown supporters for his debut and second fight, both stoppage victories.

Top Rank has been quite active in adding new talent in recent months, signing both the DeLeon brothers of Los Angeles and Olympic Trials winner Jesse Hart.  Tramaine Williams is currently in talks with Top Rank as well, having made his pro debut on the Brandon Rios-Richard Abril undercard last week.
