Middleweight contender Marco Antonio Rubio (53-5-1, 46KOs) is ready to make his dream come true on February 4 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Rubio will challenge WBC champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (44-0-1, 31KOs). Rubio is ready to leave Mexico and travel out to Texas. Rubio wants to make the same impact as he did last April, when he came to Canada and knocked out betting favorite, and undefeated puncher, David Lemieux. The win earned him a shot at the WBC championship.

"The only way to take the title from Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is to knock him out and I will do so. We have so many things against us, so I do not want to leave the work to the judges, and I'll go for the knockout. That is the only way to overcome Chavez and I have to step into the ring with that mentality. We are in the last days of our work, you could say that I'm at 90 percent," Rubio said.

From the sixth or seventh, I will fight according to the strategy we have planned. In these rounds I'm going to use speed and use a lot of pressure. I've used this strategy on several of my opponents and it has won me several fights, including the one against Canadian David Lemieux. And trust me, everything will go as we plan, with a decisive victory before the limit to make me a world champion."
