Ruben Guerrero, father and trainer of former champion Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (31-2-1, 18KOs), expects Floyd Mayweather Jr. to dominate his rematch with Marcos Maidana - if that fight is made for the fall.

Mayweather had a much tougher time than expected when he faced Maidana in May, and won a twelve round majority decision. Mayweather won a lopsided decision over Robert Guerrero in May of 2013. Robert will look to bounce back on Saturday night against Yoshihiro Kamegai at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Ruben believes Mayweather intentionally stood in the pocket with Maidana to prove his toughness, but he also believes Mayweather will use his legs, box smart, and selectively pick his punches in a rematch.

"I think he just stood in front of Maidana to prove something. Maidana did a lot of slapping [with his punches]. He didn't land any hard punches. It was a lot of dirty fighting. I think Mayweather just came in and did that to show 'hey, I'm fighting a tough guy and I'm standing in front of him.' He wanted to say 'hey, I'm a tough guy too because I'm standing in front of [Maidana]. But he didn't that with Robert," Ruben told BoxingScene.com.

"I know what he's doing already. He [fought that way] to set up a rematch and next time he's going to knock this fool out. Maidana couldn't even hurt Mayweather. If it would have been Robert, he would have never stood in front of Robert - no way. You watch, the next fight Maidana is not even going to touch Mayweather. In the first fight, the last round, [Mayweather] picked [Maidana] apart."

"He just wanted to prove to the world that he doesn't run, he can stand in front of a hard puncher. He don't fool me bro. The next fight, if it gets done, he is going to pick Maidana apart and Maidana won't even touch him."

"When they talked sh*t about him running the last time, he stood and fought with [Jose Luis] Castillo and got his ass kicked. And that was the real Castillo. He gave him a beating, but when he fought Castillo the second time - he didn't stand in front of him, he ran and pot-shotted him. He's going to do the same thing with this guy, just watch."
