BILOXI—It is now official. Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr, and undefeated Anthony “Tyger” Hanshaw will be fighting for the prestigious International Boxing Council world light heavyweight championship in their scheduled  12-round bout Saturday night at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

Promoted by Murad Productions and Square Ring Inc., in association with the IP Casino-Resort-Spa of Biloxi, Jones vs. Hanshaw plus a simply sensational undercard will be seen around the world in 407 countries.

“I am excited  and delighted that we have this added stamp of  credibility to this great fight and this great boxing show,” Muhammad said. “With the IBC belt on the line, Tony and Roy will have some extra motivation.  Not that they needed any with all the bad blood between these two athletes and their camps.”

Muhammad also reported that ticket sales are brisk and that all the $100 seats have been sold. The arena is set for a crowd of 10,000.

“We’ve got more good seats ranging from $500 down to $30,” Muhammad said . “I know we will have a large and enthusiastic crowd because the IP and Biloxi are like a second home to Roy Jones Jr.”
