WBO Jr. Lightweight champion Román “Rocky” Martinez is interested in a fight with Jorge Solis, who fought and won against fellow puertorrican contender Mario Santiago in Mexico last week. “I would really love to fight Jorge Solis, he is a great champion and -- although that's something that I would have to discuss with my manager and with my team and go from there. But I would love that fight and with re ignite the Puerto Rico and Mexico rivalry."

Martinez has other options like a mandatory match with Ricky Burns. Martinez has wanted a fight with Solis for a very long time. If Solis does not happen, he will go to England and fight Ricky Burns.

"I would like to fight Jorge Solis next, but first I have to take care of Gonzalo Munguia on the 29th of May in Puerto Rico. I need to see what my options are and I need to be smart about my career."
