Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (37-0, 31 KOs) is inching closer to a rematch with Mexico's Juan Francisco "Gallo" Estrada (25-2, 18 KOs), holder of the flyweight world championship of the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and World Boxing Association (WBA). This possibility gained momentum today with the WBO placing "Chocolatito" in the number two position within their top ten rankings at 112-pounds. Gonzalez is only surpassed by Giovanni Segura in the rankings.

"I am very pleased with the opportunity afforded by the WBO to get listed as second in the rankings, because it will force Gallo Estrada to face me this year. Sooner or later he must face me in the ring," said an excited González.

The two-division world champion (105 and 108 lbs) overcame Estrada on November 17, 2012 at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California, by way of unanimous decision. After the loss Estrada moved up in weight and captured the WBA and WBO titles on April 6 last year with a split decision nod over Brian Viloria by split decision.
