Danish Fight Night promotions returns after a brief layoff with a show at Frederiksberghallerne in Copenhagen on September 15 with a show with four headliners. With veteran Lolenga Mock gone from the team it´s up to the young prospects to enter the stage and take over.

Topping the bill are cruiserweight Detlef Rossing, 8-0, super lightweight Enock Poulsen, 7-0, light heavy Jeppe Morell, 8-2 and female featherweight Sarah Mahfoud, 5-0.  Heavyweight Pierre Madsen, 11-0, is featured on the undercard.

The last DFN show was in January and during the spring a few shows had to be postponed for various reasons.

German-Turkish heavyweight Erkan Teper has been named co-challenger for the vacant EU title. The other co-challenger is Robert Helenius. These two were all set to do battle in December of 2015 at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki when Teper was reigning EBU champ.

However, with about three weeks to go Teper pulled out with a claimed hand injury that later became a dirty and controversial story about doping and Teper was eventually suspended.

As it was, Helenius and Franz Rill fought for the vacant title with Helenius winning. Helenius then ran into Johann Duhaupas and was knocked out and since then - just like Teper - has been struggling to get back into it.

The EBU have set September 4 as deadline for agreements or purse bids and Helenius must also get past Yuri Bykhautsou on August 11 in Savonlinna.

Should Helenius vs Teper come off, well, then the often-used words "crossroads fight" find its true meaning in this matchup.

Light heavyweight and local hero Simon Engstrom, 4-1, takes on Jozsef Barati, 2-1, in the headliner of Annette Engstrom´s show at the Duveberghall in Katrineholm, Sweden, on September 29. In the co-headliner welterweight prospect Laziz Sharifov, 5-0, take on Dominik Horvath, 3-0.

Both fights are scheduled for six three minute rounds and thus need special permission from the Martial Arts Delegation.
