Trainer Freddie Roach was disappointed with the performance of Chris Algieri (20-1, 8KOs), who was dropped six times in losing a very wide twelve round decision to WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on Saturday night at the Cotai Arena at the Venetian in Macau, China. Two ringside judges scored the bout 119-103 while the third had it 120-102.

In the weeks leading up to the fight, Algieri proclaimed that he was a 'master boxer' and he vowed to dominate Pacquiao in the contest. The Long Island boxer and his team were very confident of outboxing Pacquiao to victory. Roach says his boxer got the last laugh.

"The master boxer was given a master class by professor Pacquiao tonight," Roach said. "I was disappointed in Algieri's performance tonight. All he did was run."
