Will the real “Big Baby” please stand up?

Eight-year basketball veteran and former NBA champion Glen "Big Baby" Davis plans to to partake in pugilism as a featured attraction on Jake Paul’s upcoming fight and undercard on Aug. 13, according to a report from basketball insider Shams Charania.

The plan was for Davis to fight Larry Sanders, another basketball player, but Sanders wants to continue playing hoops for the Big 3, so Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions is looking to score another opponent for Davis.

The 36-year-old Davis played for the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic, and Los Angeles Clippers from 2007 to 2015. The endearing and rugged Davis averaged 8 points throughout his career and played up to his nickname “Big Baby.”

The popular moniker has weaved its way into boxing as well, with heavyweight contenders Jared Anderson and Jerrell Miller also using the nickname.

The 6-foot-9, 300-plus pound Davis becomes the latest major sports athlete to throw his name in the boxing ring.

Over the last two years, NBA players Lamar Odom, Deron Williams, and Nate Robinson, NFL stars Frank Gore, Chad Ochocinco, and Adam Jones and MLB player Jose Canseco have all competed in crossover bouts.
