Top heavyweight Alexander Povetkin of Russia is hoping to score another knockout of Dillian White, when the two boxers collide in a rematch.

The first bout took place back in August, at Matchroom's Fight Camp in Brentwood.

Povetkin was in a lot of trouble in the first few rounds, as he was being outboxed and dropped twice in the fourth.

But he overcame the early hurdles by landing a single uppercut that knocked Whyte out cold in the fifth round.

After the loss, Whyte exercised an immediate rematch clause.

Coming into that fight, Whyte held the WBC's interim-title and he was also the mandatory challenger to full champion Tyson Fury.

The second fight will be held on November 21 in England.

Povetkin is currently training hard and hopes to end the fight in the same dramatic fashion as the first time.

"I'm preparing in the same way as I did for the last fight with this opponent," Povetkin said. "I'm going to England to win. Let's see how the fight goes, but I'm only going in with the mindset to win. I will try to repeat the spectacular knockout over Whyte... physically and mentally, I'm ready for this.

“After the last fight, I didn’t feel anything special, I was just pleased. I’m glad that I stayed patient and brought it to an end."

Another big win and the 41-year-old veteran will find himself in line for a world title shot.

Denis Lebedev, a former cruiserweight world champion and close friend to Povetkin, has advised the Olympic gold medal winner to avoid the scenario of having a slugfest with Whyte.

"I want to wish Alexander Povetkin the best in the fight. But I would ask him and I plead with him - that he avoids a brawl. Let him," Lebedev said.
