Japanese WBC world #15 ranked  (5-1, 0KOs), challenger for the WBC world flyweight title, looked strong as he trained before the media in Bangkok, Thailand. Mukai will challenge Thailand’s great champion Pongsaklek Wonjonkham (83-3-1, 44KOs) on December 23rd. Mukai opened his exercises by hitting the mitts, hitting the bag, and doing exercises for the Thai press.

Mukai told the media - “I am satisfied my current condition. I believe 150% that I'll beat Pongsaklek.”

The champion Pongsaklek Wonjonkham is training at the National Sports Training Center in Saraburi, a province of Thailand. He trains side by side with Kompayak CP Freshmart, the challenger to the WBC junior flyweight title on the same day.

Pongsaklek said - “Mukai is good fighter, but I will remain champion and defend my title for another two to three years.”

The fight will be held at the 11th infantry Regiment in Bangkok, Thailand on December 23rd and broadcast by Thai TV channel 7 from 14:00 until 15:00 (Bangkok time).
