WBC featherweight king Daniel Ponce De Leon (44-4, 35KOs) is expecting to remain as the champion for a long time. Ponce, 32-years-old, won title on September 15th with an eight round technical decision over Jhonny Gonzalez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Since the fight took place, Gonzalez has complained about the way the fight played out. It was stopped in the eight after a clash of heads produced a cut above Gonzalez's right eye. Gonzalez felt he was winning the fight and wants a rematch.

"Since last Sunday my life has changed. I've received many compliments and people recognize me in the street. Honestly I was expecting Jhonny to be stronger. I felt his power. Course, it was very technical. There are several [possibilities] on the list, but I can not say their names. I have no preference. [Gonzalez is] a crybaby, he has to accept that I won," Ponce said.

"While I have the title, he won't have it any more. He has to accept it. Throughout the fight I was ahead. It was a matter of time before I was going to knock him out because his punches did nothing and he was taking punishment. Next time I'll be better and I'll knock him out."
