Golden Boy Promotions Boxers Randy Caballero and Vicente Escobedo showed the media they are ready for Friday’s showdown against separate opponents at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Both fighters train with the Diaz brothers at the Indio Boys & Girls Club gym. Speaking to broadcast television affiliates and to newspaper writers, main event contender Vicente Escobedo said, “this feels really good, to be in the main event. I’m ready and I hope my opponent is ready.” He’s fighting Walter Estrada of Columbia in a 10-round lightweight bout.

Randy Caballero, fighting in the co-main event told reporters today, “I’m ready and I’m going to put on a good show for everyone.” The Golden Boy Promotions fighter is the hometown hero, hailing from Coachella, CA, and drew large crowds in each of his two previous bouts at Fantasy Springs. He’s hoping the third time is a charm for him and will maintain his undefeated 7-0 record against his opponent in this match, Hugo Ramos of Palm Springs, CA.

The media and fight fans are invited to attend the press conference and official weigh-in on Thursday, March 3rd at 1pm in the LIT Lounge at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, CA for the Friday, March 4th Solo Boxeo fight.
