GUAYNABO, PUERTO RICO - Before leaving for the United States, Mike Oliver had a light workout in Puerto Rico, as there is less than two months before his collision with the former double world champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez, on October 1 at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon. Oliver (25-2 and eight KOs) trained by doing some floor exercises, different movements, and hitting the mitts with trainer John Scully at the Wilfredo Gomez Gym in Guaynabo.

"We are preparing to be in the best condition to face Juan Manuel Lopez, who we know is a strong puncher," said Oliver.

The boxer who plans to upset Lopez (30-1, 27 KOs) for the Latino featherweight title of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), showed good technique and speed in the ring.

Oliver and Scully would later travel to the United States to continue their preparation for the meeting with Lopez.
