Rosario was came out aggressive in round one, but he was being outboxed by Williams, who was also landing the better shots and using a sharp jab. In the second round, Williams was cut above his left eye from a jab. The action was heating up as they were both very active with their punches. Rosario was landing better as the blood was bothering Williams.

Rosario continued to press in the third, throwing a lot of punches. Williams was using a hard jab and Rosario was digging to the body. They were trading big shots during the fourth, and both had their moments.

In the fifth, Williams was hurt very bad from a hard hook. Rosario began battering him with huge shots and the referee jumped in to wave off the fight.
