The scores were 77-75 for Paul, 77-75 for Woodley, and 78-74 for Paul.

Woodley came out with a big swing and was darting in and out. Paul was jabbing and circling the ring. Paul threw a combination and was pushing Woodley back with the jab.

Paul continued to use distance, jabbing and punching from range in the second. Woodley was not throwing much and seemed a little hesitant to come inside. A few jabs by both at the start of the third. Both were connecting as Woodley was getting more active with his shots. Paul continued to jab well and used it to set up an uppercut. Woodley landed a right at the end of the round.

Woodley throwing a bit more in the fourth and trying to rough Paul up. Woodley landed a good left hand and staggered Paul with big right as he flew back and held the ropes to keep from going down. Paul landed a good right as Woodley walked inside, but Woodley was coming forward and looking for big shots on what seemed to be a tiring Paul.

Woodley was coming forward in the fifth and landed a solid uppercut. Paul was jabbing and trying to land a quick combo. Woodley was coming forward and got caught with a left. Woodley was not pushing hard to get inside, but controlling things - although Woodley got caught with two counters.

Paul more active with his punches in the sixth. He seemed to catch a second wind and was letting his hands go. In the seventh, Paul was jabbing, but Woodley was being more active and pushing forward. Both were able to connect with good punches during an exchange. Paul did well in the final minute, which could have been enough to steal the round.

In the eight and final round, Woodley was stalking forward and looking for the knockout. Paul was jabbing and circling the ring. Woodley landed a good right hand to force Paul to hold on. Woodley landed another shot with Paul coasting to the finish line.
