David Haye weighed almost a stone heavier than Tony Bellew ahead of their heavyweight grudge fight.

The feuding duo faced each other for the final time at the weigh-in for Saturday's fight at The O2, live on Sky Sports Box Office. Bellew, who holds the WBC cruiserweight belt, has stepped up a division to share the ring with Haye and tipped the scales at 15st 3lbs 8oz. (213.8-pounds)

Haye came in at 16st 9oz (224.9-pounds), which was his second heaviest career weight, and the former WBA heavyweight champion believes he will display the punch power of a naturally bigger man.

With just days to go until the much anticipated fight at the O2 Arena, the bookmakers are praying Bellew can live up to his talk and stay on his feet past the first-round.

Haye to win in the first round has been the most popular bet on Oddschecker with 23.4% of punters backing the Bermondsey born fighter to end the bout early (best price of 10/1 with Betfair).

Despite 44.8% of punters backing Bellew - compared to 43.9% who have backed Haye -  the best result for the bookies would be a sixth-round win for the Liverpudlian. The people of Liverpool would also be happy with that result as Bellew has received strong support from his home region with 75% of people from the North West backing the 34-year-old to win on Saturday night.

Haye is the clear favourite with the bookies though at 2/9 and is seems that is where the money is with 63% of staked bets by Oddschecker users for 36-year-old to come out on top.

During Thursday’s press conference Haye boasted he was in even better condition than he has previously been and had no issues pointing out how much harm he wanted to cause his opponent.

He said: “Enjoy your last days. There’s not going to be another day: this is the last day for you. That’s it: it’s over.

“I’m legally allowed to do as much damage [to] him as I can inflict for 36 minutes with 10 ounce gloves on. He says he’s going to keep getting up; I hope that’s the case,” added the Hayemaker.

While perhaps not supporting the harsh words from the Londoner, punters seem to agree that Haye will be far too powerful for Bellew with 53% backing a Haye win by knockout.

During February, Oddschecker had seen a flurry of bets on Bellew to win as it seemed punters were keen to cash in on the 5/1 available, now 4/1, on Bellew to withstand on onslaught from Haye and produce an upset.
