As previously reported, the world lightweight champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Cuba's Richar April 18-3-1 (8 KOs), will be defending his title against undefeated WBA intercontinental champion Edis Tatli 23-0 (7 KOs) in the challenger's backyard on the 20th of September at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland.

Both fighters participated in a packed press conference in Helsinki.

The champion has more than a year of inactivity due to management issues. In his last fight, he successfully defended his title against Sharif Bogere on March 2, 2013 in Las Vegas.

"I'll make his life (Tatli) very difficult on September 20 and then knock him out," Abril said.

It will be the first world title fight in Finland since 1962, when Olli Mäki attempted unsuccessfully to dethrone featherweight champion Davey Moore. Tatli only said he hopes the Cuban champion will come to fight and not run away like a hare.
