MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Junior middleweight Pawel Wolak (29-1, 19KOs) got the biggest win of his career when he stopped former WBA champion Yuri Foreman (28-2, 8KOs) in six rounds. Foreman was fighting for the first time since the TKO loss to Miguel Cotto from last June.

This was a very physical fight. Foreman could not get away from Wolak, who put a lot of pressure on him. Wolak was landing a lot of big punches and by fourth round he was really starting to catch Foreman with some serious shots. Foreman is not a puncher, and he couldn't do much of anything to push Wolak back. Foreman tried to fight Wolak on the inside. The keyword is "tried." Wolak was the obvious bigger puncher, and he imposed that power with combinations that rocked Foreman's head in multiple exchanges. In the sixth round, Foreman was taking a serious beating. Wolak continued to come, and come, and come. After the bell, Foreman's corner had seen enough and stopped the fight before the seventh round.
