Omar Chavez (32-3-1, 22KOs) is looking to bounce back from his September decision loss to Ramon Alvarez, the older brother of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Chavez, the son of the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez Sr., is reportedly in talks to make his middleweight debut against Ronald Hearns (27-5, 21KOs), who is the son of another legendary fighter in Thomas Hearns.

The fight is being discussed for the March undercard to a proposed fight between Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Carl Froch, according to ESPN Deportes. Despite an ongoing legal battle with promotional firm Top Rank, Chavez Jr. appears confident that a fight with Froch will be finalized for a March date at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
