Manchester Arena - WBC International champion Nathan Gorman took another step towards British title level with an impressive third round stoppage win over Sean ‘Big Sexy’ Turner.

Gorman, who moves to 13-0 with the win looked relaxed throughout and displayed his full repertoire of skills.

The brave Turner has endured an interesting run of matchmaking with a win over former David Haye foe Arnold Gjergjaj last December followed by a decision defeat to hot Croatian sensation Filip Hrgovic in February.

Gorman started quickly, landing his favoured left hook right uppercut combination and busting Turner’s nose in the very first round.

The second followed a similar pattern with Gorman targeting the body before landing a huge right uppercut which floored Turner with seconds to go in the round

Gorman came out to finish matters in the third and a beautiful right uppercut followed by a series of hooks ended the fight at one minute and nine seconds of the round.

Gorman and trainer Ricky Hatton were elated with the win with the fighter indicating he’s prepared to fight fellow hot prospect Daniel Dubois.

Meanwhile, Jack Massey took out Ian Tims in devastating fashion to keep up his undefeated ledger.

The Chapel-en-le-Frith cruiserweight stopped the 38-year-old Dubliner after just one minute and 42 seconds of the second round to advance to 14-0 with seven early finishes.

Tims, in defeat, slipped to 13-6 with four quick.

Zelfa Barrett got back to winning ways with a comprehensive points victory over Edwin Tellez.

The contest, an eight-rounder, was scored 80-71 in favour of 'Brown Flash', who hurt his left hand in fight, after Tellez was deducted point for low blow.

The hope now for Barrett’s team is that the rematch clause with Ronnie Clark can be executed next so that he can attempt to avenge the loss he suffered to the Dundee man back in February when the pair clashed for the IBF European super-featherweight title.
