Two weeks after announcing his placement on the show, Martin Murray now has an official dance partner for his September 5 bout in Leeds, England. The former middleweight contender will take on Colombia's Jose Miguel Torres in a dangerous crossroads bout while eyeing a crack at a super middleweight title.

Headlining the show, Josh Warrington faces Australia's Joel Brunker in a 12-round featherweight bout.

Murray (31-2-1, 14KOs) was added to the card after Gavin McDonnell dropped off to instead travel to the United States to help his brother, bantamweight titlist Jamie McDonnell prepare for a September 6 rematch with Tomoki Kameda in Texas. The opening fit the needs of Murray, who fights for the third time in 10 weeks since signing with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing earlier this summer.

The run comes on the heels of his latest title venture, having suffered an 11th round knockout at the lethal hands of Gennady Golovkin in February. The bout—which aired live on HBO from Monte Carlo—was his last as a middleweight, as the goal since then has been to build up his domestic appeal—having often traveled outside of England for his biggest fights—while getting properly acclimated to the super middleweight division.

“This is the perfect fight for Martin and his first real test since the Golovkin fight,” Hearn said in a statement through Matchroom Boxing's press office. “Torres always comes to fight, is exciting to watch and can really punch. He has been in at elite level and neither will take a step backwards in Leeds.”

Torres (31-6, 27KOS) has yet to win a fight outside of South America, 0-4 in such ventures. However, the hard-hitting Colombian has been stopped just once in his career, a 7th round knockout loss to David Lemieux—now a middleweight titlist—in Nov. '13.
