On September 20 at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, Frank Warren begins the new season with a show featuring a host of fighters from his current stable.

Rumoured to be headlining the card is a showdown between hot super featherweight prospect Mitchell Smith 9-0 (4 KOs) and tough former English champion and British and Commonwealth title challenger Jon Kays 18-4 (4 KOs) of Oldham.

Kays, 31, lost a brave challenge to Dewsbury’s British champion Gary Sykes in a thrilling contest in May, dropping the champion in round two before being halted himself in round 10.

Smith scored a wide unanimous decision over the previously unbeaten Peter Cope in July and Kays would be the most seasoned campaigner Harrow Weald prospect Smith has faced so far in his promising career.

Also due to appear on the card is Enfield’s hugely popular super middleweight Frank Buglioni as he continues to rebuild his career following a shocking sixth round stoppage loss to Sergey Khomitsky in April and is coming off a four round dismantling of the over matched Sam Couzens in July.

Buglioni will face an as of yet unnamed opponent and will be appearing for the first time under the guidance of Steve and Paschal Collins after splitting with long term trainer Mark Tibbs.

Buglioni 13-1 (10 KOs) decided he needed a change of scenery and turned to former world champion Collins to inspire him towards world title glory and has swapped the TKO gym in Canning town, East London, for the Celtic Warriors gym in Dublin.

Collins’ brother Paschal learned his craft under the tutelage of Goody and Pat Petronelli, spending six years with men who guided middleweight legend Marvin Hagler, and he will share training duties with his former world champion sibling.

Unbeaten welterweight Bradley Skeete 17-0 (6 KOs) will also appear on the card as he continues to close in on top domestic honours whilst Gary Corcoran 10-0, (5 KOs), Tom Baker 9-0 (2 KOs), Romeo Romaeo 4-0 (1 KO), Larry Ekundayo 7-0 (2 KOs) and Georgie Kean 3-1 (1 KO) will all be given their first run outs of the new season.
