Cristian Mijares is very focused on his last week of training for his upcoming fight against WBC champion Leo Santa Cruz on March 8th in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he's got a vintage message.

The so called "Diamante" (49-7-2, 24 KO’s) is sharping and shaping any rough edges with the sole purpose of conquering the world title.

“I’m a very experienced fighter who has faced the very best in the world. My experience will prove very useful in this fight. Also, being a southpaw will work in my favor. We've clearly seen that the fights against southpaws complicate his strategy. Santa Cruz is a great champion. He knocked out Victor Terrazas and then defeated a tough rival like Cesar Seda. So I know this won't be an easy fight, but I’ll do my level best to defeat him and conquer the WBC title,” Mijares promised.
