(Los Angeles, CA)-A pioneer of women's professional boxing whose career has spanned more than a decade, Mia Rosales-St. John literally fought her way to the top. On the tenth anniversary of her Playboy magazine cover, the two-time WBC champion is more fit and healthy than ever.

In her newly released book, "The Knockout Workout: 3 Winning Steps to Improve Your Body and Your Life," (Wiley, $24.95) Mia uses her experiences as a fighter, champion and single, working mother of two to empower women to take control of their food and body issues and live their healthiest, happiest lives.

In addition to her innovative workout plan, Mia reveals some of the challenges she overcame along her life’s journey and shares the skills and mindset that helped her climb from modest beginnings to the pinnacle of her chosen profession.

"The Knockout Workout" includes step-by-step exercise instructions, championship mental strategies and clear, detailed photographs. This whole-body program is ideal for everyone, regardless of age or experience, who wants to get fit quickly.

For anyone who enjoys Mexican food (and who doesn't), Mia supplies low-fat, heart healthy recipes that are quick and easy to prepare. Working with her mother, a native of Zacatecas, Mexico, Mia developed healthier, alternative recipes for her favorite meals that maintain the delicious, authentic flavor of her mother's hometown.

After attending the Boxing Writer’s Association of America gala this Friday night, Mia spends the next five days making media appearances around New York City.  She wraps up her week with a public book signing in Spanish Harlem on Thursday, June 18th at Chimney from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.  Presented in conjunction with La Casa Azul Bookstore, Chimney, the latest in El Barrio chic, is located at 2056 Second Avenue.
