Martin Bakole made a successful start to life under the Matchroom Boxing banner.

The heavyweight, who has lost just once in the paid code, made the move to Eddie Hearn’s stable recently.

Bakole, training under Billy Nelson in Airdrie, Scotland, took on Ytalo Perea at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool, exclusively live on Sky Sports in the UK and DAZN Stateside.

The fight was over pretty much before it had begun as Bakole took a few early to test the power of his opponent. And after sampling what the Ecuadorian had to offer, he went to work and dropped Perea, as part of the supporting cast to Anthony Fowler’s vacant WBO Inter-Continental middleweight title battle against Brian Rose.

Referee Michael Alexander deployed the eight-count, which the visitor hesitantly beat, but it was only a matter of time before the end was called.

One minute and 20 seconds was on the clock when, after the following barrage of shots was landed by Bakole, Alexander decided he’d seen enough and called a halt to proceedings.

Meanwhile, Former Olympian Qais Ashfaq retained his unbeaten record with a win over Sean Davis.

The Leeds man, who was last in action back in May, bloodied the ex-British super-bantamweight title challenger en-route to a 79-73 verdict.

Thomas Hart added to his unblemished ledger with a quick-fire finish.

Hart, managed by former WBC world cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew, made his debut at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool back in March and this time, next door, stopped Ivo Krastev after just two minutes and 54 seconds of the opening round of four.

Nathan Farrell got his professional career off to a flyer with a points win. The younger brother of former fighter and burgeoning trainer Kieran Farrell had to wait for his bow after numerous setbacks, but finally got under the lights and outpointed Dylan Draper by a margin of 40 points to 36.

And Dylan Evans got another win to move to move to 3-0. The Moston lightweight, trained by former WBA world lightweight champion Anthony Crolla, outpointed Aleksandrs Birkenbergs by 40 points to 37.
