Former WBO interim and EBU super welterweight champion Lukas Konecny (50-5) has retired after 25 years of boxing. Lukas is 35 and also says he has some minor problems with his eyes. Konecny´s last ring appearance was a fight against WBO middleweight titleholder Peter Quillin and Konecny lost on points.

Lukas resides in Usti nad Labem (Czech Republic) and promotes shows in his hometown where Czech journeymen get a rare chance to win. There were also attempts made to get Danny Williams a few wins under his belt before his farewell fight in July in Frankfurt am Main. It all went well on May 24 when Williams stopped Martin Stensky (1-32) in the first but this past weekend Frantisek Kynkal (4-4) scored an upset win over Danny.
