Two powers: the flyweight world champion, Juan Carlos Reveco, and No. 4 ranked junior welterweight in the world, Lucas Matthysse. Both fighters were teammates on the Argentina National Team a long time ago. But as professionals, this is the first time the two are on the same card for an exceptional boxing evening to be held on Friday at the Vicente Polimeni Las Heras.

Knockout artist Matthysse will have a hard time stopping former world junior welterweight champion, DeMarcus Corley, when they fight for the WBO Intercontinental title at the distance of twelve rounds in the welterweight division.

Reveco will face Nicaraguan Miguel Tellez in a ten round non-title bout.

After many years, Matthysse and Reveco shared an afternoon workout in the gym of the Federation, something that hasn't happened between them since 2003.

"Reveco is a type that always trained a lot. When we shared the gym, he always brought good results. He is also an excellent person. It's been a long time since we met, but the affection is something that is still there because we shared 4 years of training," said Matthysse.

Regarding his rival Matthysse said: "He's a lefty with experience and we'll need a good game plan in the ring. It's a fight I have to win to fight for the world title."

Corley, who arrived at dawn yesterday to Mendoza, could not train because his luggage did not arrive and he was in a bad mood.
