“Noche de Campeones" from the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum from Bayamon, Puerto Rico saw WBO super flyweight José “Carita” López (39-7-2, 32 KO’s) from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico win a unanimous decison over Pramuansak Phosuwan (39-2-1, 21 KO’s) from Mahasalakam, Thailand to win the vacant WBO super flyweight title. The scores were 117-111, 117-111 and 116-112.

Eric “Little Hands of Steel” Morel (41-2, 21 KO’s) won a ten-round decision over Roberto Bonilla (22-11, 13 KO’s) in a bantamweight bout. The scores were 100-90, 99-91 and 99-91.

Former super middleweight champion Manuel “Manny” Siaca (22-6, 19KOs) stop George Klinesmith (24-14-4, 4 KO’s) in the first round. Also in action, Carlos Negron (1-0, 1KO) made his pro debut, stopping another cruiserweight prospect, Miguel Angel Jiminez (0-1), in the first.
