At a recent press conference that was held at the Hilton Hotel in Warsaw, WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk was (44-2-1, 31KO) discussed his April 2 defense against unbeaten mandatory challenger Francisco Palacios (20-0, 13 KOs). Wlodarczyk is training hard for the fight and expects a tough fight from a challenger that he respects.

"We are preparing hard, both physically and mentally. The psyche will play a big role," said Wlodarczyk. The last month before the fight, I'm going to start an intensive preparation. He's a tough, difficult opponent. He has a good knockout percentage. He is good, but I'm better and I'm sure that I'll prove it on April 2. This fight will be much more tense, intense, than my first defense. He says that he is coming to beat me, but that makes me more determined. I can, in turn, promise that my title will not leave the Polish border."
