WBA junior welterweight champion Andreas Kotelnik (29-2, 13KOs) has told BoxingScene.com about a possible duel against unbeaten prospect Dmitriy Salita (28-0, 16KOs), and his preparations for the fight against Norio Kimura (32-5, 18KOs) on September 13 in Lviv, Ukraine.

Kotelnik: Hello, Alex. I feel good, thank you.

BoxingScene.com: We have been informed that you might take part in a fight against Dmitriy Salita on the pay-per-view undercard to Joe Calzaghe vs. Roy Jones Jr. on November 8 at New York's Madison Square Garden. You can confirm this information?

Kotelnik: Yes, this fight may take place on November 8th, but I'm not thinking about it. All that I'm thinking about is to win my fight against Norio Kimura. After that fight it will be possible to speak about fight Kotelnik vs. Salita.

BoxingScene.com: Where are you spending your time to prepare for the Kimura fight?

Kotelnik: In Hamburg, I am engaged in right now in very physical training and spending a lot of time in a ring. I'll arrive in Ukraine only three days prior to fight.

BoxingScene.com: You have enough information about Norio Kimura?

Kotelnik: Yes, he has a good track record. I know, that he often helped fighters prepare for big fights, such boxers as Erik Morales and Juan Manuel Marquez. He has a real strong left hand. In general, a very strong opponent. I'm taking this fight very serious and I'm going to prepare that way.
