Not even two months after hosting the Polish fight of the century between Tomasz Adamek and Andrew Golota, the city of Lodz will have another big Polish boxing event on Demember 18th. In the main event world ranked cruiserweight contender Pawel Kolodziej (23-0, 12 KOs) will meet experienced and well known All-American Prizefighter Rob Calloway (77-10-2, 57 KOs). Kolodziej is rated #10 by WBC, #15 by IBF and #14 by WBA. It is only matter of time before he gets his opportunity at the world championship but now he yet has to face the toughest test of his pro career. Polish cruiserweight was only 8-years-old when his American rival already made his professional debut. Kolodziej hopes to deliver a remarkable performance in this clash of boxing generations.

"We were having negotations also with Enad Licina and Rico Hoye but my coach from the begining wanted me to face Calloway. He may be not the youngest one but he still punches very hard and he is very experienced. He's got more knockouts than I have professional fights so it will be for sure a value test for me" - said Kolodziej.

In co-main event another Polish rising-star, just 22-year-old Andrzej Wawrzyk (15-0, 10 KOs) is going to face Alexey Mazikin (13-3-1, 3 KOs) from Ukraine. In his short but very intensive pro career, Wawrzyk already won WBC youth heavyweight championship and defeated fellow Polish heavyweight Tomasz Bonin. Mazikin brings to the ring a lot of experience ganied mostly at the amateurs. In 2001 he won the silver medal at the world championship so Wawrzyk knows he can't overlook his opponent. Polish young heavyweight is sparring real tough opposition like Denis Bakhtov and Yaroslav Zavorotny to prepare himself for his nearest test. Bakhtov's face was a real mess after the first sparring session between them. Wawrzyk won his last two fights by knockout and he plans to put some heavy leather also on Ukrainian.

"I'm working really hard on punching power right now. I think it is a good test for me at this stage of career. Maziking is tall and very strong guy. You will see me performing against him like never before" - said Wawrzyk.

Polish fans also will have a chance to see in Lodz light heavyweight Dawid Kostecki (ranked #8 by WBC and #11 by WBA), WBO intercontinental welterweight champion Krzysztof Bienias, cruiserweight Lukasz Janik and another light heavyweight Maciej Miszkin. Whole card is presented by Andrew Wasilewski.
